AJRAKH

Ajrakh is a form of block printing originally practised in Kutch (Gujarat) and Sindh (now Pakistan). It is believed that Ajrakh is derived from Arabic name "Azrak" meaning blue - after primary color used in this printing technique dating back to Harappan Civilization and era of indigo.The blocks used for Ajrakh printing generally have complex geometric shapes and floral designs.
